Q. What is EBSCO?

Answer

EBSCO, or EBSCOhost, is a provider of databases, eBooks, journals and magazines, and search engines. Their content and feature-rich technology platforms make their products popular with students.

If you used a specific EBSCO database and are trying to get back to it, try one of the suggestions below.

For students wishing to search both the library catalog (for books and media) and multiple database (for articles and eBooks), selecting the Search All tab on the library homepage's tabbed search interface will allow you to search for material on your topic using EBSCO's search interface. This may produce a large number of results. Use the limiters on the left side of the results page to narrow your results.

For students researching a specific topic for a class assignment, it may be more helpful to determine which specific databases are best suited for that discipline or subject area. You can do that easily by checking the Find Articles link on SCCC Libraries' research guide for your subject.

For more information on EBSCO databases, see the video below from the SCCC Libraries' YouTube channel.
