How can I access JSTOR?

Do the SCCC Libraries subscribe to JSTOR?

Answer

The SCCC Libraries maintain a subscription to JSTOR (use this link to access the database). When accessing JSTOR from off-campus you will be prompted to authenticate with your MYSCCC ID and password. Please note when printing or saving articles from JSTOR you may find it helpful to click on the "Download PDF" link to access the complete article. JSTOR also allows you to page through the article without downloading the PDF, but when printing from this view only the displayed page will be printed.

The JSTOR database provides access to scholarly articles on a wide range of topics and particularly useful for history, philosophy, art, sociology, and communications.

JSTOR is a digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources. JSTOR helps people discover, use, and build upon a wide range of content through a powerful research and teaching platform, and preserves this content for future generations.

When searching JSTOR it may be helpful to use the Advanced search screen where you can limit your to articles, by date, and by discipline, as appropriate. See below.
