Where can I find case studies for my nursing class?

Answer

There are variety of ways to find case studies for nursing. A good place to start would be CINAHL, the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature. CINAHL is a database that provides citations and, where available, fulltext articles on nursing and allied health topics. Since CINAHL is a subscription resource provided by the SCCC Libraries, be sure to access CINAHL via the library website or the online Nursing Research Guide. CINAHL and other library databases can be accessed from off-campus by authenticating with your MYSCCC ID and password. Using the advanced search screen allows you to filter or limit your results by various criteria. The Publication Type filter allows you to limit your results to Case Studies. You can enter the appropriate search terms for your topic in the search box.

The library also provides books that are collections of case studies on different topics. Go to the library homepage to search for these books.

There are also some case studies available as part of our eBook Collection from EBSCO.

Be sure to check the online Nursing Research Guide for additional resources for nursing and biomedical information.
