Good question! You should cite your sources in both the paper and the powerpoint. Do you know what documentation style your professor is expecting you to use (APA, MLA, etc.)?
Depending on which documentation style you'll be using and on how you structure the information in your powerpoint (direct quotes, paraphrases, diagrams, images), the format you use to cite your sources will differ. For example, you'll need to decide how to refer to your sources on each slide where you're using an external source, and it's always a good idea to have a final slide as a Works Cited (MLA) or References (APA) page.
I recommend that you ask your professor what her expectations are for documentation style and for formatting citations in the slideshow. Sometimes you may be asked to give a verbal citation, sometimes you will have the citation in parethesses like in-text citations in papers you write, sometimes you can put the citation as a heading on the slide, etc.
