Q. Where can I find poems?

Many poems can be found in print and online.  If you are looking for a specific poem or poems by a specific author, use the library catalog to search for the author.  You may find poetry books solely by the author or find an anthology of poetry (a book with poems and works by many different authors) that features one or more poems by your author.  Check to make sure the book is available and use the call number to locate the book on the shelves.  Works by the author will be grouped together.
To find a specific poem, go to the section of poetry books by your author and search the Index or Table of Contents for the poem.  Although you could try to find the poem by searching the catalog for its title, this will most likely not work.
If you don't have a poet or poem in mind, search the catalog with the phrase: poetry anthology.  This will let you browse poems by lots of different authors with different themes.
There are also many great poetry websites to help you find a poem or poet.  Below is a link to literary websites that include poetry websites.
