Q. How do I use Google Scholar?

Answer

Google Scholar is a search tool that locates scholarly materials.  It is used to identify both free and fee-based articles at universities, research institutes, and academic publishers.  If logged in with an SCCC ID, Google will automatically return many articles that are available through the SCCC libraries.

Do not pay for articles!  If an article is fee-based, check the library's databases to see if it is available.  If not available, articles may be obtained through interlibrary loan.  Please contact a librarian on your campus for assistance.

>> At the Google opening page, click >MORE  >EVEN MORE  >GOOGLE SCHOLAR

>>Enter terms in the search box

>>Use options in the left sidebar to limit by year

>>In the right column, click on PDF or Fulltext @ SCCC
