What is a hold?

A hold on an account can prevent you from registering for classes online. Holds can be placed on accounts for a variety of reasons including advising approval or financial requirements.
You can see if you have holds on your account and what kind through the MySCCC portal. You will see a link to View My Holds under the My Courses tab.
You may also receive a library hold if you have excessive fines or any extremely overdue books. To check if you have any library holds, log into your library account by clicking "Advanced Search" under the OneSearch box on our homepage and then click "Sign in" in the top right corner of the page. Enter your SCCC credentials. Once logged in, you will click on your name again to view your account.
