How do I cite an article in MLA style?

Below is an example of citations of journal (or periodical) articles. Be aware of the punctuation separating the elements of the citation as well as the difference in the font indicating the journals' names.  For more examples and step-by-step instructions see the links below.
 
 
 
Be aware of the aspects of these citation elements:
 
Author
1 (one) Author: LastName, FirstName.
2 (two) Authors:   LastName, FirstName, and FirstName LastName.
3 (three) or more Authors: LastName, FirstName, et. al.
 
Title
Enclose title in "quotation marks" followed by a period.
 
Name of Journal
The journal name must be italicized.
