What is MLA style?

Answer

MLA is a citation style that is often used for undergraduate research projects and papers.  MLA stands for Modern Language Association and is primarily meant for research in the Humanities including literature, languages, philosophy, etc.  Below is an example of an MLA citation.  On the left is the official MLA Handbook that is available at any of the campus libraries.

*Please Note: No matter what type of course you are taking, always ask your professor what citation style to use for a project or paper!
