How do I format the Works Cited page in MLA style?

Answer

Start the "Works Cited" page on a new page at the end of a paper.
  • Entire page is double-spaced (no additional spaces between the citations)
  • The top right holds last name and page number.
  • Alphabetize citations.
  • If a citation is longer than one line, format each entry using hanging indent, i.e,  all lines after the first are indented 5 spaces or 1 tab.
