How do I format a paper in MLA style?

Answer

The following is the standard format for an MLA style paper:
  • 1 inch margins on all sides
  • 12 point legible font, i.e., Times New Roman
  • Double-spacing throughout the paper
  • Page numbers with the author's last name in the top-right corner
  • Works cited page at the end of the paper
