What are citations?

Citations are used within the text and at the end of a research paper to show where you found the information being used in that paper.  In the paper you will use an in-text citation and at the end you will create a citation that provides your reader with enough information to find that source for themself (See the examples below).  Citations are used in research papers but must also be used for any project that requires outside sources for information.
