Answer

The SCCC Libraries' Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service does not pass on any fees incurred for borrowing material to patrons. The service is meant to be used to request materials needed by students, faculty, and staff to complete assignments or for research that is not available at the SCCC Libraries. We do not request textbooks through ILL. All three campus libraries do provide a popular reading section for students, faculty and staff looking for to read the latest titles.

For non-acaedmic material, the Suffolk County Public Library system allows users to order materials from any library in the system online for delivery to the patron's nearest library. They also provide ILL services for material they don't own.

We also provide an intercampus delivery service. If you need a title from another SCCC library deliverd to your campus or have additional questions about the service, please stop by the reference desk for assistance.
